Who Are Stonehammer Friends?
Stonehammer Friends are people just like you who have an interest in our communities and our Earth. Some want to ensure earth science is taught in a fun and engaging manner while others want to ensure our youth understand the importance of the earth beneath our feet. Some want to help create jobs in New Brunswick. Many of our friends live in New Brunswick while others live outside the province. Some friends are in the public sector while some are in the private sector and some of our friends aren’t people, they are companies. Currently, our youngest friend is 9 and our oldest friend is 79.

Geology Touches Us All
Alongside climate, it determines what we grow and eat, how we get around, and how we sustain our economies. In Southern New Brunswick, our geology helped us become a fishing, mining and forestry powerhouse, and develop a prosperous port at the mouth of a magnificent river. Today, our dramatic city on the Bay of Fundy lets us offer exceptional experiences for locals, tourists and cruise passengers alike. The rock beneath our feet is the very foundation of what we have become, and is what we celebrate at Stonehammer — in both official languages.
